Day 1: Transfer to Kruger National Park and Sunset Safari

Begin your journey with a private transfer toward the Kruger National Park region, traveling through some of South Africa’s most scenic landscapes. Along the way, pass through the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains, following parts of the famous Panorama Route, a region known for dramatic scenery, deep valleys, and sweeping mountain views.

Upon arrival in the Kruger area, relax and prepare for your first wildlife experience. Later in the afternoon, head into Kruger National Park for a sunset game drive in an open safari vehicle. This shared game drive offers a classic introduction to the African bush, as animals become more active in the cooler evening hours. With an experienced ranger and tracker, search for wildlife while learning about animal behavior, habitats, and the park’s ecosystem as daylight fades into dusk.

Day 2: Full-Day Kruger National Park Safari

Today is dedicated to a full-day Kruger National Park safari, the kind of real African wildlife experience travelers come for. After an early start, enter the park via Phabeni Gate and begin a shared open safari vehicle game drive with an experienced Kruger guide.

Travel through classic bushveld and river areas where animals move freely, searching for the Big Five and other wildlife such as giraffe, zebra, hippos, crocodiles, antelope, and birdlife. Stops are made whenever sightings happen for viewing and photos. Comfort breaks are taken at rest camps inside the park, with time for lunch at a park restaurant (own expense) before continuing the game drive and exiting later in the day.

Day 3: Panorama Route and Return to Johannesburg

After an early breakfast, depart for a scenic journey along the famous Panorama Route in Mpumalanga, one of South Africa’s top scenic drives and most famous sightseeing routes. Travel along the dramatic Drakensberg escarpment, known for its deep canyons, mountain views, and natural landmarks.

Carefully selected stops include God’s Window, offering sweeping views over the Lowveld, the iconic Three Rondavels, and the breathtaking Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest green canyons in the world. This scenic journey perfectly complements the Kruger safari experience before the return drive to Johannesburg, arriving later the same day.

Drop-off in Johannesburg is expected between 18:0 and 19:30, depending on traffic and road conditions. If you’re flying out the same day, please schedule your departure after 21:00 to allow enough time for the drive, any delays, and airport check-in.
