Learn the art of needle felt sculpting in an 1822 heritage house museum in downtown Toronto. Needle felting involves stabbing wool with a special felting needle to keep the fibres in place. Students will learn the basics of wrapping wool on a wire armature, wool detailing, attaching curly locks for hair, and a halo. This is a fun project for beginners. Angel is 5″ tall.
Your angel can be a hanging ornament or sit on a table. Students will be asked in advance what skin tone they would like their angel to have, and there will be several hair colours available.
All materials are provided. This includes 2 felting needles, wool, curly wool locks, and a premade wire armature. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during the workshop and can be purchased separately.
All materials are provided. Museum admission is included in the price of your ticket, attendees are welcome to arrive at 12:00 pm for a chance to explore the museum before the workshop.
The minimum age for this workshop is 13.

Campbell House Museum is located at the intersection of Queen Street West and University Avenue.
Public transport: We are immediately next to Osgoode Subway Station, and on the route of the 501 streetcar.
Train: We are a 15 minute walk, or two subway stops, from Toronto’s Union Station.
