Le duo mené par l’artiste franco-américaine Marina Anne Nolles met à l’honneur les textes de la poétesse américaine Sara Teasdale (1884 – 1933) grâce à sa folk aérienne et atemporelle.Tout commence avec un livre… En prélude, il y a la découverte d’un recueil de poèmes intitulé « Love Songs » appartenant à l’arrière-grand-mère de Marina, Dorothy. Ce livre a été offert à cette dernière par un amant de jeunesse que Dorothy n’a tristement jamais pu revoir… C’est donc l’histoire d’un amour impossible, vécu sans doute à travers les doux poèmes de Sara Teasdale, que Marina a fait renaître en mettant ces textes en musique. En pleine période de confinement, Marina reprend sa guitare et joue pour elle-même en laissant ses influences premières rejaillir : Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling, Feist et Agnès Obel, etc. Elle est appelée un jour, le recueil de poèmes ouvert sur la table, par la prose rythmée de Sara Teasdale et compose dans la foulée une quinzaine de titres.Marina fait appel à Elodie Longuemart pour l’accompagner sur scène avec ses magnifiques harmonies vocales et des ambiances percussives.
