The Hangtown Classic has a rich tradition as Northern Californias premier motocross event. Located in Rancho Cordova, CA, just 21 miles east of Sacramento is the Prairie City State Vehicle Recreation Area, home to the Hangtown Motocross Classic. Its not just any motocross race, but the oldest and one of the most coveted trophy on the 11-race Outdoor Pro Motocross Championship Series. As host to professional motocross racing since 1968, the Dirt Diggers North Motorcycle Club (DDNMC) has developed the Hangtown Motocross Classic as the crown jewel of the series, hosting the largest crowds of the season, year in and year out.
For this year’s Hangtown Motocross Classic, we have an exciting Two-Day schedule that will kick-off on Friday, May 30 with the Futures of Motocross and the Women’s MX racing two motos, as well as the pros testing the legendary Hangtown track for a full hour, and a scheduled Press Day to bring you closer to your favorite rider.
On Saturday, May 31, watch the worlds fastest motocross racers compete with a full day of pro motocross racing starting at 8:00AM with practice and qualifying races, opening ceremonies at 12:30PM and the first gate drop at 1PM. Racing will end around 5:30PM with the winner circle celebration.

The 2025 year is shaping up to be one of the most competitive pro motocross seasons for both classes in years and the deep field of competitors will be battling it out all year long!
