Women Who Whiskey Veterans Day Bourbon and Charity Gathering at 5516 Trent St – Chevy Chase, MD
Don’t miss this upcoming event in Chevy Chase, MD. Happening on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 5516 Trent St. Doors open at 6:00 PM.
Let’s gather for a unique opportunity to hear from the D-Day Bourbon founder Scott Sanders, Rear Admiral U.S. Navy (ret.), and lead distiller, Susie Dawson about the amazing journey of this whiskey. For the 80th anniversary of D-Day on June 6, 2024, this bourbon took flight over Normandy, paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of that day. Not only did this bourbon soar over fields where history unfolded, but it crossed the Atlantic and back, visiting seven nations and accumulating over 80 hours of flight time, carrying with it the enduring spirit of freedom.
If hearing Admiral Sanders’s story about this bourbon isn’t enough to make you feel patriotic, ticket proceeds from this gathering will support the Tours of Duty, a D-Day Bourbon partner charity whose mission is to locate, recover, and repatriate the more than 81,000 American servicemembers still missing in action.
At this unique tasting event we will be treated to samples of this spirited Bourbon, as well as other whiskeys from Maryland-based Tabacco Barn distillery, learn more about the one-of-a-kind WWII-airplane aging process, and toast our veterans!
