Dez Altino is an award winning Burkinabe singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Known by his stage name “Le Prince National,” he is a significant figure in Burkinabe music, primarily known for the coupé-décalé genre, which incorporates traditional African rhythms.

Altino sings in both the Mòoré and French languages. His music is characterized by a blend of modern and traditional sounds, using the Soukous guitar as a defining feature. His songs often carry profound messages, drawing inspiration from the rich culture and social realities of his home country. He has collaborated with other high-profile Burkinabe artists such as Floby and Agozo.

Dez Altino was born in Burkina Faso and currently lives there. He began his musical career in 2006 with the release of his first album, Bon Dieu. His subsequent album, N’Dolé (2009), earned him a gold record award at the Saga Musik Awards.
