Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell: The Untold Love Story immerses audiences in the passionate but brief romance the iconic duo shared that shaped their songs, their lives and music history. It was 1967 at the Newport Folk Festival when the pair began an intense love affair that lasted only a few months but resulted in the inspiration for some of the most celebrated songs ever written. Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell: The Untold Love Story, will explore what happened during their time living together in California at the height of folk music?s popularity, falling in and out of love, and then moving on to become the most influential songwriters and storytellers of all time. The multi-media production will recount their mutual influence on each other?s works through stories and songs including the chart toppers ?Hallelujah?, ?Both Sides Now?, ?Big Yellow Taxi? and ?I?m Your Man? and many more. It?s a look at a romantic and creative relationship never before explored on stage.
Accessible Seating: The Jubilee Auditorium is fully wheelchair accessible with ramps available at the North doors and Main (West) entrance of the Jubilee. Wheelchair seating is ticketed and priced in accordance with each separate performance. Please be sure to specifically request a wheelchair space when calling the box office to purchase tickets. Wheelchair patrons and one guest have the opportunity to purchase seating at the normal charge for an event and occupy seats together at a number of locations throughout the orchestra level, first balcony and in the pit seating. Since wheelchair spaces are limited, additional group members are not guaranteed seating near the wheelchair patron but we will make an effort to accommodate groups if availability allows it. In order to ensure that our patrons are comfortably seated, we recommend that you allow extra time to park and get to your seats before the performance is scheduled to begin. Accessible parking is located at the North doors of the building or wheelchair patrons may be dropped off at the North or Main (West) entrance ramps. The Auditorium does not provide wheelchairs to its patrons.
Wheelchair and companion seating is configured with a 1 to 1 arrangement on the Main Floor and in the First Balcony. Companions will have a seat provided to them beside the wheelchair. Additional companion seats may be purchased from best available seating nearby. Seating is located in the following areas: Orchestra Pit Row CC, Main Floor Rows A & Y and 1st Balcony Row K. Depending on show configuration, some sections may not be open for all events. Access to theatre via ramp at north entrance. Elevator available to access seating in 1st Balcony. Accessible washrooms in lobby near main entrance. Accessible Parking available in West lot. Handi-Bus parking at NW entrance.
