The inaugural Lōʻihi Records Music Festival: Wayfind — a celebration of sound, culture, and contemporary experimentation will take place on December 27, 2025, at Capitol Modern!

For one full day, morning til night, we will be gathering musicians, composers, cultural workers, and thinkers from Hawaiʻi and beyond, united under a theme of wayfinding. Through performances and conversations, the program explores how artists navigate the space between tradition and innovation, digital futures, and the responsibilities of ʻāina, ʻohana, and pilina.

To cap it off, Grammy Award-winners Kalia Vandever and Andrew Yee will join Lōʻihi Records artists — Pulitzer Prize-finalist Leilehua Lanzilotti, and headliner T.J. Keanu Tario — for the closing concert.

This programming reflects Lōʻihi Records’ commitment to flip the long-standing narrative of Hawaiʻi artists being secondary in their own homelands. And it reflects our mission: to promote artists engaged in the contradictions of life in contemporary Hawaiʻi.

Wayfind invites audiences to consider how we navigate identity, diaspora, technology, and place. Throughout the day, performers and audience will investigate the intersections of sound, culture, and care, creating a space where Hawaiian leadership is not only present, but centered.

Mark your calendars, it’s going to be an incredible day of music and conversation.  December 27, 2025 10AM – 9PM
