About this Dinner: Sit at our table at Il Pastaio and learn directly from Salvatore Ferragamo, CEO of Il Borro, about his family’s wines, perfectly paired with a three-course meal. Together, you will walk through a tasting journey of three unique wines from the Il Borro estate, the history of the estate, and techniques behind each bottle’s production, and how they pair with your curated meal. Not only will you learn how to perfectly pair each selection through your meal, but you’ll also learn directly from one of the most storied families in Italian wine.

About Il Borro Toscana: The name of the estate, Il Borro, derives from the Tuscan word gorge. In 1255 the mayor of Arezzo, Borro Borri, purchased the fortress which continues to bear his name. From 1766, Il Borro passed through the hands of some of the most noble families in Europe such as the Medici family and the House of Savoy. Since 1993 Ferruccio Ferragamo, together with his son Salvatore and daughter Vittoria, have been responsible for conserving The Il Borro estate’s historical heritage as well as converting all agricultural farming practice to organic farming, producing world class wines with a unique concept of terroir. The unique climate and terroir, mild winters and optimal exposure of the vineyards -placed on the hills of the Valdarno -results in the creation of fine quality wines with a strong territorial identity and produced by traditional methods. The grape varieties featured in this territory include Sangiovese, Chardonnay, merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

• Seating is first-come, first-served in a communal dining experience. Guests will be seated at a shared long table and food will be served family-style to encourage a social and engaging atmosphere.

Payment in full is required at the time of registration and all sales are final. No refunds are offered on classes and events. For groups of 5-10 guests, a minimum of 7 days’ notice (class day not included) is required to receive a credit in the form of a coupon for a future class or event. For groups of up to 4 guests, a minimum of 4 days’ notice (class day not included) is required to receive a credit in the form of a coupon code for a future class or event at La Scuola. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a class or event due to unforeseen circumstances, inclement weather or otherwise. In the event of a class or event cancellation, we will contact you directly at the phone number or email address you have provided to offer a full refund or credit to transfer to a future class or event. While we are not able to offer credit, transfers or refunds for last-minute illnesses, work-related conflicts, personal emergencies or events beyond our control, you are always welcome to send someone in your place, as we understand that these things do happen. If you are purchasing this class or event as a gift, please provide this cancellation policy to the recipient, as the policy will still apply. Credits issued for La Scuola events are redeemable only for future La Scuola events and cannot be used to register for events in other parts of the marketplace or exchanged for store credit or Eataly gift cards.
