Day 1 – Preparation and high-altitude camping
5:00 a.m. – Departure from Mexico City
9:00 a.m. – Breakfast in Atzitzintla (2,845 meters above sea level)
10:00 a.m. – Transfer to base camp in the Valle del Encuentro (4,000 meters above sea level)
11:00 a.m. – Setting up camp
