The Morning Catch Walking Foodie Tour features tasting stops at locally owned coffee and specialty shops and restaurants where you’ll sample featured breakfast bites and coffee shots guaranteed to tingle your taste buds. Join our friendly, local tour guide on this beautiful morning constitutional where you’ll hear local lore about Boothbay Harbor while enjoying a mouth-watering breakfast picnic along with opportunities to shop and take photographs.

Itinerary:

Location 1: Whale Park (meeting location) – We’ll begin our tour with Boothbay Harbor’s origin story with a seafaring past. For thousands of years, people have been coming here to fish. Boothbay Harbor has long been home to fishermen, sailors and sea captains, and ship builders.

Location 2: Brisetto’s Second Cup Coffee Shop (<2-minute walk) – Spending about 10 minutes here for coffee shot and mini fresh fruit smoothie. Brisetto’s Second Cup combines Romanian roots, Italian inspiration, and American style to create a delicious cup of coffee. Location 3: Woodsong Market Coffee Shop & Gifts (<10-minute walk) – Spending about 20 minutes here for a Seahawk Pride mini hot latte and Lox Bagel Bite with time for shopping. Woodsong Market is locally owned and operated and features Maine-made food and gifts. Location 4: Harbor Treats (<5-minute walk) – Spending about 10 minutes here for coffee shot and mini blueberry Danish. Chef Tuğba is an internationally experienced pastry chef who honed her craft at Naples Ritz Carlton. Location 5: 1901 Boothbay Harbor Footbridge (<10 walk) – Stroll along America's longest wooden footbridge and enjoy panoramic harbor views with photo opportunities. Location 6: Kelly’s Café (<2-minute walk) – Spending about 10 minutes here for an individual Cozy Quiche. Kelly's Café strives to have "Something for Everyone" and offers a gluten-free, grain-free and dairy-free option for our tasting. Location 7: Eventide Specialties (<10-minute walk) – Spending 20 minutes here for mini scone with time for shopping. Eventide Specialties offers a gallery of food and gift possibilities that will have you drooling over everything from artisan bread and world-class olive oil to over 1,000 amazing wines. Location 8: Whale Park (<3-minute walk) – We’ll end our tour with beautiful harbor views of schooners, lobster boats, super yachts, and the harbor’s east side working waterfront.
