Meet your guide in a parking area off of the US 60E (mile-mark 283) in Chrysotile, Arizona. Look for your guide in a ‘Wilds of Arizona’ shirt with the cleaned and ready off-road vehicle(s).

Start the ride by touring through Ash Creek Canyon, taking in high cliffs and great views. Park the off-road machines and begin the hiking portion of the tour. Hike about 3/4 of a mile following a creek, navigating obstacles like boulders, a man-made dam, logs, and the creek itself.

During your off-roading and hiking adventure to Moon Canyon, explore the Tonto National Forest. Expect to see beautiful desert scenery, including unique plants, cactus, and wildflowers native to the Sonoran Desert. Enjoy beautiful views of Ash Creek Canyon and the unique trees that grow next to it. There is always a chance to see wild animals such as cows, javelina, snakes, lizards, and birds.

Climb over boulders and jump over the creek to make your way to “Moon Canyon”. The canyon floor and creek bed are a conglomerate of smooth river rocks held in place by hardened sand. See where some of the river rocks are missing, leaving a hole where they once were. Enjoy time exploring in this unique environment, playing in the creek, and taking photographs.
