Scenic Stops Along the Way

The first stop on your journey is Portage Lake, one of Alaska’s most beautiful and photogenic locations. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and shimmering glaciers, this icy blue lake offers the perfect backdrop for pictures and a peaceful moment to take in the grandeur of nature.

As we continue the scenic drive along Turnagain Arm, you’ll have the chance to stop at Beluga Point, a famous lookout known for its panoramic ocean views and, if you’re lucky, the chance to spot beluga whales swimming in the inlet during the right season. This is a favorite stop for many of our guests because of the breathtaking views and the chance to experience the raw beauty of Alaska’s coastline.
Other stops may include Potter Marsh Bird Sanctuary, where you can stroll along boardwalks over the wetlands and spot a variety of bird species, or other scenic pull-offs depending on the time and your group’s interests.
