PRICE:
Step away from the crowds with our unforgettable Moraine Lake tours, designed to showcase this iconic gem of Banff National Park in its most peaceful and awe-inspiring moments. Whether you’re an early riser chasing the first light of day or a night owl dreaming of stargazing beneath alpine skies, we have the perfect experience for you.
Sunrise Tour: Tranquility and First Light
Begin your day before dawn with a scenic journey through the mountains, arriving at Moraine Lake at least 45 minutes before sunrise—well ahead of the crowds. As the sky begins to glow, enjoy a hot beverage and a thoughtfully prepared comfort bag including a headlamp, blanket, and sit pad to help you settle in and stay cozy.
Your guide will lead a short walk to the Rockpile, offering tips for photography and sharing stories about the region’s unique ecology and wildlife. Witness the magical moment when the Valley of the Ten Peaks is bathed in golden light and Moraine Lake glows its iconic turquoise blue. You’ll then enjoy 2 hours of free time to explore at your own pace, take photos, or simply soak in the serene beauty before returning to Banff with personalized local recommendations from your guide.
✨ Sunset & Stargazing Tour: Golden Hour and Celestial Wonders
If you prefer the calm of evening, join us for a magical Moraine Lake Sunset & Stargazing adventure. Your experience begins with a scenic drive along the Bow Valley Parkway—a renowned wildlife corridor where we may spot elk, deer, or even bears. We’ll make a photo stop at Morant’s Curve to capture the golden hour glow before continuing to Moraine Lake.
As the crowds thin out, we’ll take a peaceful lakeshore walk before heading to the Rockpile for stunning sunset views. Wrapped in a blanket and sipping a warm drink, you’ll watch as day fades into twilight over the Valley of the Ten Peaks.
Once night falls, we’ll shift our focus to the stars. With minimal light pollution, Moraine Lake offers exceptional stargazing. Using a monocular and binoculars, we’ll identify planets, constellations, and—on lucky nights—the northern lights. Whether you’re new to astronomy or a seasoned stargazer, the dazzling night sky will leave a lasting impression.
