The Melody Maids Movie, presented by the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, is a documentary celebrating one of Beaumont?s most cherished cultural legacies. The film will be shown at the historic Jefferson Theatre. The documentary details how a group of women from Southeast Texas traveled the globe to uplift and entertain U.S. troops. Their legendary career spanned several decades, transcending borders and exemplifying manners, morals, and music. Under the leadership of director Eloise Milam, the Melody Maids became cultural ambassadors for Beaumont, inspiring generations and elevating the city?s reputation far beyond Southeast Texas.
