The Sea of Cortez is a huge and beautiful body of water and offers many wonderful adventures for the adventurous. Today, you can experience the best of the “Arch” from a glass bottom kayak!

The Arch is a geologic landmark where the Pacific Ocean joins with the golden green waters of the Cortez Sea. As you kayak around, you’ll have the chance to experience a wide range of marine life that calls this home. From great birds living above the arch, to the seemingly endless variety of multicolored fish below, you’ll be amazed at all the life that is teeming here. You’ll even have a chance to go past a sea lion’s colony. See if you can get them to talk!

After kayaking around, you may be able take a scenic walk along Lover’s Beach, if the port captain permits (sometimes high swell makes it unsafe), and cross to the other side to discover why they call it Divorce Beach! If the conditions are right, you’ll even have a chance to snorkel around Neptune’s Finger or Pelican’s Rock. These are an interesting area of hard and soft corals, sea fans, sponges and plenty and plenty of fish, tuna, shark, manta ray and turtles!
