Our tour is ideal for adventurers who enjoy nature. We’ll explore the Celestun biosphere reserve, home to an emblematic bird, the pink flamingo.

Our guide will pick up the guests at the location registered on the website.
Pickup starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 9:00 a.m.
We’ll head to the port of Celestun (duration 1.10 hrs). When we get to the beach, we’ll board one of the boats to start the activity. Once on board, we’ll sail along the coast to the ancient ruins of the La Herradura saltworks. On the way to the mangrove, you’ll notice the division between the gulf and the sea, a difference in the density of the seawater. When we get to the mangrove, we’ll visit a canal to see the flamingos and other endemic and migratory birds. Enjoy the scenery and tranquility of this ecosystem. Right after this, we’ll move about 400 meters away from the mangrove to a sandbank, an area of the sea where the water reaches waist height (about 50 cm). There, we’ll start a traditional Mayan bath with the sand mud, which serves as a natural exfoliant, a tradition in the area (you can swim in this area, but it’s not mandatory). Finally, we’ll return to the same location where we boarded (total activity: 2 hours). When you get to the beach, our guide will take you to a local restaurant where you’ll have some free time to enjoy the beach area (food and drinks not included). The restaurant has showers, changing rooms, a beach area, and hammocks.You’ll have 2 hours to enjoy the place. We’ll head back at 4:00 PM, arriving in Mérida at 5:00 PM.
