Your day tour of Provence starts with a visit to Roussillon, a gorgeous typical French village famous for its red and yellow ochre cliffs and unusual natural landscape. Enjoy an open-air Provençal market (on Thursdays only), a must-do experience when in Provence!
Your guide will take you to a panoramic photo stop facing the village of Gordes. This Provencal village is perched up high in the Luberon and is listed as one of “the most beautiful villages in France”!
For lunch (not included) you will enjoy free-time in the village of Fontaine de Vaucluse. This is a great opportunity to take a stroll and see the beautiful source of the Sorgue River: a unique natural place, full of mysteries…
After the break, your tour continues on to the Pont du Gard (entrance fees included, but not inside the museum) to visit the best preserved aqueduct of the Roman period, dating back to the 1st century and listed by UNESCO.
Your next stop will be a visit to Les Baux de Provence, a renowned Provencal village located upon a rock at 245 meters high. Enjoy some free time to visit the medieval village and don’t miss its beautiful 16th century houses and the St Vincent Church!
On the way back to Avignon, your tour guide will drive you to Saint Rémy de Provence where you will enjoy a little walk in the city center….What a day!
This full day tour will return to Avignon in the middle of the day.
