Baeza isn’t just for looking at, it’s for living. On this walking tour, you’ll discover a World Heritage city that hides much more than meets the eye.
We’ll start under the Arco de las Escuelas, next to the university chapel, with a historical introduction about Baeza. We’ll visit the Old University, twinned with the one in Salamanca, where Antonio Machado taught.
We’ll continue to Plaza de Santa Cruz to admire the Romanesque church and the Palacio de Jabalquinto, with its surprising Gothic façade. We’ll then head to the Plaza de Santa María, home to the oldest cathedral in Andalusia, the central fountain, the Palacio de Gil y Baile, and the seminary with its red paintings and the famous Vítor.
We’ll then walk around the cathedral to explore the city’s most beautiful streets, which will whisk us back to times of knights and duels.
We’ll finish in the Plaza del Pópulo, talking about the Antiguas Escribanías, the Civil Court, the Arco de Villalar, the Puerta de Jaén, the old butcher’s shops, and the Fuente de los Leones, presided over by a legendary princess.
Throughout the tour, I’ll share legends, anecdotes, and fun facts that have brought these beautiful cobbled streets to life. A walk to enjoy, learn, and finish with a good taste in your mouth.

If you want to know the city’s legends, besides its history.
We’ll visit all the most important monuments in the historic center
We’ll have a good time with smiles and a great atmosphere to finish with a good taste in your mouth
