Description: We’ll learn how to build igloos and snow caves. We’ll use shovels and other methods for this
to make the ice “bricks.” If the conditions aren’t right for building, we’ll make emergency caves
emergency caves that will serve us for our educational purpose.
Where we’ll be: Valle de Tena or del Aragón, depending on where the group is staying, usually in the
Somport or Portalet.
Duration: Half a day, about 4 hours.
Dates: From December 1 to April 30 (depending on snow conditions)
What you’ll need: trekking or mountain boots, long pants, and ski pants,
sweater, anorak, hat, sunglasses, gloves, small backpack, and water bottle. Aragón provides the technical material
Aventura.
We’ll learn how to build igloos and snow caves.
Teamwork when doing the final team test/game.
