PRICE: $293

The tour will have three phases.
In the first one, the guide will pick you up at your stated location and take you on a relaxed walk among the old forum of the Roman city, with many public bath complexes using Mérida’s mineral water sources, and the mysterious ice pitt.
You will enter the newest excavation of Mérida, the House of the Amphitheatre, where the marvelous mosaic bedrooms and banquets halls stay still in time.
You will be able to visit the biggest circus for chariot racing in Europe, where the sound of the frantic audience still rings through the stone seating and stables.
After this first phase, the guide will take you to a mid-morning snack in Mérida’s most famous pastry shop, next to the Basilica of Saint Eulalia, the Saint of Fog.
The second phase, after the snack, will begin with a visit to the Temple of Diana, to learn about the old pantheon of deities of the Roman Period.
You will then go to the Amphitheatre, to fight where companies of the famed gladiators showed their incredible skills with both men and wild animals.
Finally, you will see the jewel of the city, the Theatre that has become the cultural centre of a city still tied to its Roman past.
After this second phase, the clients will have a relaxed stop to have one of Mérida’s typical dish, with both meat and vegan options.
In the third and final phase, you will have an exclusive visit to the Museum to find where all the pieces from the excavations of the city are kept, with the fascinating stories they carry with them.
