Mangroves are an important part of marine ecosystems and serve as nurseries for marine species. This is a place where red mangrove (Rhizophora mangle), black mangrove (Avicennia germinans), white mangrove (Laguncularia racemosa), and Piñuela mangrove (Pelliciera rhizophorae) are very common. Other animals such as capuchin monkeys, spider monkeys, raccoons and crocodiles; sometimes you can see some of these beautiful animals.
