After pickup from your Cape Town hotel in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or similar, travel through scenic landscapes as your guide introduces the day ahead. Your first stop is Stellenbosch, South Africa’s second-oldest town. Stroll along oak-lined streets and admire Cape Dutch architecture while learning about the history of this wine capital.
The tastings begin at four carefully chosen estates:
Delaire Graff Estate (or Haute Cabrière until 1 Oct 2025) – Known as the “jewel of the Cape Winelands,” Delaire Graff offers luxury wines with Banhoek Valley views. Until reopening, tastings take place at Haute Cabrière in Franschhoek, famous for its Méthode Cap Classique sparkling wines.
Tokara Wine Estate – Perched on the Helshoogte Pass, Tokara is celebrated for Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Taste a curated flight while enjoying panoramic vineyard views.
Delheim Estate – A family-run estate on the Simonsberg Mountain, Delheim is warm and welcoming. Taste 6 premium wines, and with the All-Inclusive Gourmet option, enjoy a main-course lunch paired with estate wines. Menu examples include lamb shank with Merlot jus, pan-seared line fish, or mushroom risotto.
Fairview Wine & Cheese Estate – One of South Africa’s most iconic estates, Fairview is home to a wine & cheese pairing. Taste 5 wines with artisan cheeses from creamy brie to bold goat’s milk varieties.
Between tastings, pause at the Mandela Monument at Drakenstein Prison, where Nelson Mandela was released in 1990. Your guide shares the story of this historic moment before continuing to Franschhoek.
End your day in Franschhoek, the “food and wine capital” of South Africa. Enjoy a guided orientation and free time to browse boutiques, galleries, or cafés before returning to Cape Town in the late afternoon.
