This tour is all about the queer perspective on Amsterdam’s history.
2. Unicorns everywhere
Look at that Róyal Palace. But wait a minute: What are these unicorns doing at this Queenish building?
3. Pride and protest
Amsterdam’s biggest and most vibrant event is Pride! We celebrate this on the waters of our beautiful canals.
4. Stroll old gay town
We are diving into the queer and historic heart of the city: the red light district. The oldest part of town.
5. Deeper understanding
We bump into the first condom shop in the world. Born out of necessity during the Aids crisis.
6. T in LGBTQI+
Discover the story of a woman who was the first to change her gender on her passport. What a shero!
8. Going out with a bang
Last but definitely not least, we will finish the tour in front of Café ‘t Mandje. The oldest queer bar.
