No visit to South Africa is truly complete until you have explored the rich diversity of nature & wildlife of northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The flagship park of our wildlife heritage is Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. Simply referred to locally as H.I.P! Let your guide weave together all the facets of H.I.P, its lush vegetation, bird & wildlife as well as the rich cultural and history of our area. Not only is it the heartbeat of our area but also world renowned as the place that saved the white rhino from certain extinction. Thanks to “Project Rhino”, initiated and lead by great conservationists like Dr Ian Player! The park is the genetic home to every single White Rhino alive in the world today! This dramatic endeavour is showcased at the Centenary Center in the southern “iMfolozi Section” of H.I.P.
This 96000 hectare wildlife wonderland is a shade under 5% the size of the Kruger National Park, yet it is not overcrowded and overcommercialized…just the way we like it! It is very much still a truly conservation orientated park with huge tracts of pure wilderness areas, completely devoid of human activity, except for the tireless guardians of our wildlife heritage, the park rangers.
We look forward to sharing a few hours with you, sharing what we can and hopefully fulfilling many dreams and expectations of all who visit with us!
