Experience the magic of winter at the Skating Rink Museumplein in Amsterdam. With the iconic Rijksmuseum as a backdrop, this is the place where locals and visitors from all over the world come to skate, dine, and soak up the winter atmosphere.

Your ticket includes skate rental and access to the ice rink. You’re welcome to skate for as long as you like!

Whether you’re a seasoned skater or a first-timer, the rink offers a unique experience. Rent skates on-site or bring your own (no speed skates allowed). Enjoy the festive atmosphere, complete with hot chocolate, cold noses, and the special ambiance of skating in the heart of Amsterdam.

Even if you don’t skate, you can enjoy the catering area Het Wak and the many activities around the rink. This season promises to be extra special, with sensory-friendly skating, curling, children’s parties, and collaborations with partners like the Sven Kramer Academy.

The Skating Rink Museumplein 2025-2026 opens on November 15 and stays open all winter until 6 February. Openings hours:

During the Christmas holidays, from December 20, 2025, to Sunday, January 4, 2026, extended opening hours apply.
