Our little pack horse tour is a 3-4 hour excursion for anyone who simply wants to enjoy the company of horses while hiking and is also suitable for beginners in handling horses. Together with our relaxed Icelandic horses, we explore the beautiful nature around the Ansättfjäll and don’t need to carry anything but ourselves. Our trusty Icelandic horses carry any jackets and sweaters we want to put on or take off along the way, as well as drinks and a small picnic for the road. This allows us to enjoy the breathtaking nature and the calming presence of the horses, who are always happy to be petted.
When we are about halfway there, we look for a nice picnic spot, rest, let the horses graze peacefully, and enjoy their company. Refreshed, we finally make our way back home. After our return, the horses are cared for together and given their well-deserved feed.
