Visit a Sami area north of Kiruna. Learn about the reindeer and the indigenous people of Lapland. Feed the reindeer, throw a lasso, and take a short ride with the reindeer sled in the countryside.

PRICE: $349
per person

We will pick you up in the centre of Kiruna and take you by car to our reindeer farm in the village of Rávttas, 20 km northwest of Kiruna town. Some of our family’s reindeer are fed and cared for in a corral during the wintertime. You will get close to them and feed the tame reindeer by hand. We will walk together through a winter wonderland with the sledding reindeer. We will give you some instructions before you go for a short ride on your own with the reindeer sled. You will also get a chance to experience other parts of our culture with lassoing like a reindeer herder and skiing the sami way. After the ride and activities we’ll return to our farm and enjoy a lunch with ecological, smoked, and fried reindeer meat (suovas), bread, and coffee in the lávvu. You can ask questions and listen to stories as you relax around the fire. After the tour we will take you back to the city centre.
