Go on an interesting tour of Danish and Scandinavian history from a Danish perspective. Packed with insight into Danish history and culture.

The tour focuses on travelers who want to spend more time at the locations and those who are slow walkers but still can climb stairs and walk on cobblestones and other uneven surfaces.
– You will be on a guided tour of the Roskilde Cathedral. Here you will get some of the history of the cathedral, see some of the most distinct Christian monarch’s graves, and get a small insight into their impact on Danish history.
– At the Viking Ship Museum see the exhibition of Viking shipwrecks and the reconstruction of the Viking Ship in the small shipyard next to the tiny harbor with reconstructed Viking ships. You are welcome to enter the ships at your own risk!
– At your own pace, you have the opportunity to see the magnificent Renaissance place of Frederiksborg, built in the 1700s century.

– Info-tainment!, That’s what we call it. Not so many facts that you lose yourself in years, Kings, and wars. And neither so much humor and fun that it becomes a comedy. But a gentle mix of facts presented in an easy-going way and a twinkle in the eyes by our excellent driver and guide.

– A 1½ hour guided tour will be provided at Roskilde Cathedral.
– The next stop is a 1½hour visit to the Viking Ship Museum explore this very vibrant museum on your own.
– On the way (approx. 45minutes) to Hillerod to see the Frederiksborg Palace. We pass through the rural side of the island of Zealand with comments on the things we pass from the driver.
– In Hillerod there will be around 3 hours from the bus arrival till departure.
– Explore, at your own pace, the incredible Renaissance palace; the Frederiksborg Palace.
– Lunch is not included. But we can assist you in finding lunch at a nice local café with both Danish and international lunch classics in Hillerod. Or if you prefer, a stroll on the local walking street for another lunch option.

IMPORTANT PICK-UP INFORMATION
ATTENTION; THE DISPLAYED PICKUP TIME IS FOR THE CENTRAL PICKUP POINT (in front of Hotel Astoria).
PLEASE NOTE; that pickup begins up to 45 minutes before the announced tour starts.

– Pickup is provided from most hotels with parking for the bus in the central part of Copenhagen and the cruise terminal. And is included in the fare.
– No pickups at private accommodations and Airbnb.
–If pickup can not be provided at your accommodation, you will be offered alternatives not to far from you.

Include: Your name, date of tour, and seat number, according to the seat plan in the gallery.
Seats will be distributed a “first-come, first-served”!

BE AWARE
But be careful in wet or humid weather, as cobblestones will be slippery.
Please be aware that tours with fewer than 6 bookings are most likely to be canceled. (of course, it’s 100% money back in case of cancellation). Alternative dates will often be offered.
