Gobustan National Historical and Artistic Reserve, located 65 km from Baku, is a unique place for history and nature lovers. Included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, this area reflects 15 thousand years of history.

Here you can see more than 6,000 rock paintings (petroglyphs) dating back to the Mesolithic period (Middle Stone Age), depicting the lifestyle of ancient people, hunting scenes, and dance ceremonies. The images in the paintings, reminiscent of the Yalli dance, are of particular interest.

The reserve is also known for its unique natural monuments, including its proximity to the Absheron Peninsula, where 70% of the world’s mud volcanoes are located. As part of the tour, you can also visit the clanging Gavaldash.
