OFFCELL aus Darmstadt und Frankfurt a. M. spielen melancholischen Post-Hardcore und bestehen u. a. aus ehemaligen und aktuellen Mitgliedern der Bands Acheborn, Robotnik, Sunburnscold, Narsaak, PSSGS, Last Nights Favorite und The Data Break. Die musikalischen Wurzeln liegen stark in der Hardcore-Szene der 90er Jahre.
Die Debüt-EP „still here“ wurde im Oktober 2024 in Eigenregie auf einer Vinyl-12″ veröffentlicht. Im Januar 2026 schloss die Band einen Labeldeal mit SCENE POLICE Records, einem Label, auf dem Bands wie Tiger Lou, Hot Water Music, Yaphet Kotto oder auch Strike Anywhere ihre ersten Platten veröffentlicht haben.
Die neue Platte wird Ende des Jahres erscheinen, in England wird das Release über Engineer Records veröffentlicht.

LAYERS aus Wuppertal und Solingen besteht aus Leuten, die bereits vor zwei Jahrzehnten jede Steckdose des In- und Auslandes bespielt haben. Marius Götze und Frederik Groborsch in Bands wie TUPAMAROS, LEARY oder LOCKJAW, Carsten Wagner als Teil von FORCED TO DECAY und aktuell KONTROLLE sowie Micha Walmsley als Sänger, Gitarrist und Songwriter bei THREE.MINUTE.POETRY, die neben PALE, ONE MAN AND HIS DROID und AMBROSE zum Roster von DEFIANCE RECORDS gehörten und den Midwest-Emo-Sound in Deutschland etablierten.
Und jetzt, 20 Jahre später, sind noch Songs da, die raus wollen. Gestartet als Solo-Plattform hat Micha unter dem Namen LAYERS das erste TMP-Album SLOWLY LEARNING THAT LOVE IS OKAY aus dem Jahr 2001 nochmal akustisch neu eingespielt und in einer kleinen Vinyl-Auflage über das Wiener Label Goddamn Records veröffentlicht. Der Rest kam, wie er kommen musste: Shows gespielt, Blut geleckt, an die guten Zeiten erinnert und die anderen 3 ins Boot geholt. Geprobt, neue Songs geschrieben, selbst produziert und jetzt sind wir im Hier und Jetzt angekommen.
