Calling all you over 30s! Old School Indie is coming back to Scala, Kings Cross for another indie DAYTIME party as part of Club de Fromage’s daytime clubbing event. 

TWO clubs for the price of one!
We’ll be taking over the upstairs room at the the legendary Scala to bring you 4 hours of non-stop indie bangers whilst Club de Fromage host the main room playing their classic blend of retro pop. The best bit, you can wander between the two rooms as much as you like.

Kicking off at 3pm until 7pm you can expect 4 hours of non-stop indie/rock faves from the likes of Blur, The Clash, Pulp, The Smiths, David Bowie, The Cure, Arctic Monkeys, Blondie, The Strokes, The Jam, Nirvana, Oasis, Joy Division and more

Should you, for any bizarre reason, want to leave the indie club you’re free to wander in and out of the adjoining downstairs venue where Club de Fromage will be playing pop from the likes of ABBA, Queen, Britney, Whitney, The Spice Girls, Bon Jovi, Prince, Daft Punk, Wham!, Fleetwood Mac, Madonna, A-Ha, and more, as well as the Fromage stage show.

We’ll be finished by 7pm so you’ll be free to swan off and spend your evening in a swanky restaurant, at the cinema or just go straight home and flop in front of the TV with a good old Saturday night takeaway.

There is a strict door policy of no under 30s, so please bring ID as you will be asked to show it, and no you can’t bring your 21 year old mate, so don’t bother asking.

ACCESSIBILITY —————– Scala is a very old building. One of the biggest challenges for those with mobility problems is the various levels throughout the building. Scala is in fact the latin word for stairs. All stairs have sturdy handrails. There are three steps into reception, 37 steps to the foyer bar, 14 steps to the main arena (54 total), 24 steps from the foyer bar to the toilets (64 total) and a further 23 steps to the balcony bar (87 total). If you need some help with access the Venueour team are on hand. Please contact the venues co-ordinator at least two days in advance and let them know. They may ask you to arrive ten minutes before doors open so you can enter in advance. WHEELCHAIR USERS ———————- Unfortunately there is no lift at Scala. They are happy to manually lift wheelchair users, although its worth mentioning that carrying heavy duty electric wheelchairs may not be possible for health and safety reasons. They ask that you arrive ten minutes before doors open and make yourself known to our security staff, ready for advanced entry.
