Enjoy an unforgettable experience swimming with sea turtles in Akumal, one of the most beautiful natural paradises in the Mexican Caribbean.

We will meet you at the official Akumal Mayan Trips meeting point, where your tour guide will welcome you and prepare you with everything you need for your adventure: a life jacket fitted to your size, a clean mask, and your own new, sealed snorkel for your safety and hygiene.

Once ready, you will enter the natural park’s private beach with your group, a quiet and safe space with all the amenities available: restrooms, showers, changing rooms, locker rentals, and rest areas. We want you to enjoy the whole day, worry-free!

The experience begins in the beautiful bay of Akumal, famous for its crystal clear waters, white sand, and impressive marine life. Guided by an expert, you will swim in search of the incredible green sea turtles that freely inhabit this protected area. You will see them feeding on sea grass and coming up to breathe just a few meters away from you, in a natural, respectful, and magical experience.

But that’s not all. You’ll also explore a colorful coral reef nearby, where tropical fish of all colors, stingrays, squid, sea urchins, and many more sea creatures swim. Our certified tour guides accompany you at all times to ensure your safety and to share interesting facts about each species you encounter. Don’t hesitate to ask!

If you’ve never snorkeled before, don’t worry. Before entering the water, you’ll receive a detailed explanation on how to use the equipment correctly and the basic rules for a responsible encounter with the animals.
