Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Anchorage. Head to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where you’ll spend a few hours observing bears and other Alaskan wildlife in their natural habitat.

Next, drive around the Portage Glacier area, stopping at scenic spots for photo opportunities. During the right season, you might even witness salmon spawning.

Continue to the Girdwood area, where you’ll visit a local brewery at the base of the Alyeska Ski Resort. Enjoy a tasting of local brews and, if enough staff is available, take a tour of the brewery.

Along the way, keep an eye out for beluga whales or the Bore Tide, depending on the season. Throughout the tour, enjoy snacks and water provided in the van.
