Visit a beautiful honey farm for a tour & honey tasting. Wearing a veil, see bees up close, learn about bees & beekeeping & finish with a guided honey tasting and morning tea on the terrace.

PRICE: $12
per person

You’ll hear about the remarkable lives of these at-risk pollinators, see how a Flow Hive works, and then finish off with a guided honey tasting. This is a great activity for family groups or those visiting the Southern Highlands.
You’ll join our beekeeper for a tour alongside the hives: wearing a head veil, you’ll be able to safely observe the activities of the bees and hear about their remarkable lifecycle. The talk continues with a demonstration showing a modern hive, followed by a guided honey tasting featuring local raw honeys from different floral sources, each with it’s own distinctive appearance, aroma, viscosity, mouth texture and taste. Included is a morning tea of leaf tea and coffee and freshly baked sourdough to complement the honey tasting. Our terrace looks across our private lake with rolling hills in the distance.
Our apiary is on the grounds of Retford Park, a beautiful historic property a 5x minute drive from Bowral main street. We also have honey available for purchase at our weekend farm gate stall.
