The Starzlach Gorge is a gorge that’s fun for beginners and pros alike.

High jumps and the spectacular final slide at Rudi’s gorge hut make a tour in the Starzlach gorge an unforgettable experience. If you don’t like it quite so wild, you’re still in great hands here, because even here the places that require the most courage aren’t mandatory.

If you’ve ever followed the narrow path of the water through the Starzlach Gorge, you can get a rough idea of the unbridled energy with which the water has made its way down from the Grünten.

For tourists walking up the gorge path, we’re a real sensation and photo opportunity when canyoning a few meters below the path laboriously blasted into the mountain. While they can only read about the power of the water and the numerous fossils in the Starzlach Gorge, or catch a distant glimpse of them, we’re right in the middle of a fascinating world where we can run our hands over watermills and stand on petrified nummulites while we look down at an insane water slide…

The €3 admission to the gorge (collected by the Sonthofen Tourist Board) per person is included in the tour price.
Afterwards, you can stop at the Klammwirt Rudi or the nearby Seppl-Wirt for hearty Bavarian cuisine in appropriately large portions.
