Enjoy a peaceful getaway in nature with “La Familiale”—an 8 km self-guided trip down the magnificent Gouffre River in Baie-Saint-Paul. Accessible to all, this unguided activity is ideal for families, couples, and novice adventurers looking for a relaxing time outdoors.

The excursion lasts approximately 2.5 hours and includes kayak rental and a shuttle service to take you to the starting point. You can choose between single, double, or even triple kayaks—perfect for safely bringing a young child (ages 4–5) along for the ride.

The Gouffre River offers an enchanting setting, winding through a valley of clay and sand, bordered by forests and abundant wildlife. The gentle current makes the descent accessible, with no technical passages, allowing for a peaceful and enjoyable trip. You will also be free to take breaks on the natural beaches to rest, picnic, or simply contemplate the landscape.

For your comfort, a waterproof bag is provided to protect your personal belongings. Neoprene boots and clothing are also available for hire on site, which are particularly useful for prolonging the fun even in cooler weather. Please note that closed shoes or well-fastened sandals are compulsory for safety reasons.
