ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL – SEATING IS ASSIGNED UPON ARRIVAGrowing up in a multi-generational musical family in Portland, Oregon, Tony Glausi began to sing and play the piano at a young age. Citing Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, and Earth Wind s Assembly of Shadows, hip-hop legend Big Daddy Kane, and more. He has toured dozens of countries around the world playing at renowned venues including the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Leopolis Jazz Festival in Ukraine, the Seoul Jazz Festival in South Korea, the Java Jazz Festival in Indonesia, and the Blue Note Clubs of New York, Hawaii, Napa, Tokyo, and Milan. Tony has also performed as a featured guest artist with ensembles such as the United States Marine Corps All Star Jazz Band, the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, the Eugene Symphony, and high school and college groups throughout the states. To date, Glausi has produced eight albums of his own music in physical and digital formats, garnering awards, high-praising press, and an ever-growing buzz amongst fans of all ages. A diversified composer, he has been commissioned by world-class artists and organizations to write for string orchestra, big bands, short films, and a wide variety of contemporary chamber ensembles. Amongst other accolades, Tony won first prize in the jazz division of the 2014 National Trumpet Competition, first prize in the International Trumpet Guilds 2017 Jazz Improvisation Competition, and first prize in the 2017 Carmine Caruso International Jazz Solo Competition. He was also the sole recipient of the 2016-17 Laurie Frink Career Grant.Tony is in his seventh year on teaching staff at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York. In the past he has also held teaching positions at the University of Oregon, where he completed his bachelors degree in jazz trumpet and his masters degree in composition, at the John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts, where he founded the Shedd Youth Jazz Orchestras, and at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in Los Angeles.
