Bring a friend! Shared healing experiences create powerful connections.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Q: How does pricing work for Monday Night Sound Baths? A: We believe everyone deserves access to healing practices, regardless of financial circumstances. Our events operate on flexible “pay-as-you-can” pricing – you contribute what works for your budget and situation. While there’s no required minimum, suggested contributions of $10 help us sustain quality programming and fairly compensate our facilitators. Your contribution, whatever amount feels right for you, directly supports keeping this weekly offering available to our community.
Q: Is this a volunteer or charity-based program? A: Monday Night Sound Baths are professionally facilitated practice-oriented events designed to be accessible to people from diverse economic situations. This isn’t volunteer-based – it’s how we sustain quality programming while honoring that wellness practices should be available to everyone. Our facilitators are experienced practitioners who deserve fair compensation for creating these transformative experiences.
Q: What should I bring to create my perfect nest? A: Come prepared to get comfortable! We recommend bringing a cushioned mat or yoga mat as your foundation, plus a blanket, pillow, and eye covering if you’d like. Most participants lie down and cover up during the experience. Don’t worry if you forget something – we have plenty of cushions, bolsters, pillows, and poufs available to help you create your ideal “nest.” We even have a few swinging hammock chairs for those who prefer that option!
Q: Can I bring my child to Monday Night Sound Baths? A: Absolutely! Children often have beautiful, natural responses to sound baths – many find the experience fascinating, deeply relaxing, and calming. We welcome families and believe kids can benefit tremendously from these practices. Since we’re creating a peaceful, meditative environment for the whole community, we simply ask that you help ensure your child can participate quietly during the sound portion of the experience. If they need to move around or make noise, no judgment – just step outside briefly and return when they’re ready to settle back in.
Q: I’ve never done a sound bath before. What should I expect? A: Perfect – many of our regular participants started as complete beginners! You’ll arrive to a warm, candlelit space where you can set up your comfortable spot. We begin with gentle guided relaxation to help everyone settle in, including breath awareness and a soothing body scan. Then you’ll experience the transformative sounds of crystal singing bowls washing over you. There’s no “right” way to do it – some people meditate, others rest, some have emotional releases, and others simply enjoy the beautiful sounds. Come exactly as you are and let the experience unfold naturally.
Q: Do I need meditation experience to participate? A: Not at all! Sound baths are actually wonderful gateways into meditative practice, especially for people who find traditional sitting meditation challenging. The sounds naturally guide your attention, making it easier to relax and let go. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or someone who’s never tried meditation, you’ll find something meaningful in this experience.
Q: What if I fall asleep during the sound bath? A: That’s completely normal and perfectly okay! Your body will take what it needs from the experience. Some people enter deep meditative states, others process emotions, and many simply rest deeply. All responses are welcome and beneficial. Even if you sleep through the entire session, the vibrations are still working on your nervous system and energy field.
Q: How often should I attend to get the most benefit? A: While even a single session can be deeply nourishing, regular practice amplifies the benefits. Many of our community members attend weekly and notice cumulative effects – greater stress resilience, easier access to calm states, and deeper overall well-being. That said, come as often as feels right for you. Some people benefit from monthly visits, others from weekly practice. Trust your intuition about what your system needs.
Q: Is it okay to arrive late or leave early? A: We encourage arriving a few minutes before 7:15 PM to settle in peacefully, as we begin promptly with guided relaxation. Late arrivals can be disruptive to the meditative atmosphere we’re creating together. If you need to leave early due to circumstances, you’re welcome to do so quietly. We just ask that you be mindful of the collective experience we’re sharing.
