Trivia for a Great Cause: Save Local Journalism! at Sierra 2 Center for the Arts and Community – Sacramento, CA

Welcome to the ENLIGHTENMENT Trivia Night, in which you play a thematic game each time, and also play for a great cause.

For November, the trivia theme is “Current Events and Yesterday’s News.” How closely do you follow breaking news? And how well do you know what’s going on around you? Start tuning into some sources for local, national and worldwide news so you can claim the Biggest Brain prize at our Trivia Night!.

The charitable cause you’ll be supporting is Solving Sacramento, a journalism collaborative that produces local news and solutions-focused coverage for Sacramento residents. (California Groundbreakers is a member of this collaborative.) At a time when local journalism is shrinking, Solving Sacramento exists to raise resources and support that keep independent coverage alive and sustainable for the Sacramento region.

Buy a Trivia Night ticket and all proceeds go to Solving Sacramento so they can fund journalists to keep on covering the news we need to know. And of course, you can donate directly by going to their website.
