La Vie en Bleu at Trinity United Methodist Church – Springfield, MA

La Vie en Bleu will present a combination of world music, jazz, popular standards, and blues for this event. The sextet features Luca Capogna on guitar; Matthew Ghazarian on bass; Christophe Golé on keyboard; Richard Murphy on sax, clarinet and recorder; Bill Spirer on drums; with multi-lingual vocalist Marguerite Suozzo-Golé. They will perform songs in French, Spanish and Italian as well as in English. Added to this mix will be several well-known instrumentals inspired by the works of jazz masters like Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis and John Coltrane. The evening will conclude with an appearance by guest artist, singer and harmonica player, Bill Blatner, and a journey into the blues. Bill’s usual group, Little House Blues, is known throughout the Valley for its energetic and highly danceable music. Here, he will join La Vie en Bleu, for a rollicking finish.
