WELCOME TO THE BALLET LEGATO FIRST ANNUAL LAND OF THE SWEETS CAKE CRAWL!
Everyone needs some fun and frugal enjoyment this holiday season! Lorain County’s professional ballet company, Ballet Legato is donating a low-cost, fun event for our community to enjoy some fun food and a dance performance featuring the dancers of Ballet Legato and local students performing excerpts from their upcoming performance of “The Nutcracker!”
Ballet Legato will also be collecting nonparishable food items to donate to our local Community Care! An amazing day to give back to our community! Food, fun and dance!
EVENT ENTRY COST: (1) Cake per person and $5 (children under 5 are free)You must have your registration paid online prior to attending.
CAKE REQUIREMENTS:
- Cake must be a minimum of 6 inches wide and 5 inches tall and UNCUT!
- You must bring a WHOLE cake
- Cake can be homemade or store bought
- Cake can be any flavor but please remember people want to enjoy!
- Cake MUST BE LABLED
- Nut – free is not required but if it is nut or dairy-free, please label
- You are responsible for your own cake stand and serving knife/spatula
- Everyone over 6 and up must bring in a cake for entry
- IT MUST BE A CAKE! No cupcakes, brownies or other
- Ballet Legato is not responsible for your items or any food liability
DAY OF EVENT:
Drop off your cake at the entrance no later than one hour to 30 min prior to event and receive your wristband. Upon arrival, volunteers inspect your cake to ensure it meets guidelines We will not give a wristband to anyone not in attendance as it is your ticket for entry at 3pm.
at 3:30pm aprox: All attendees will gather in the ballroom and wait for our Master of Ceremonies to yell, “LET THEM EAT CAKE!”. Attendees will have 7 minutes to go around to each table and cut a piece of cake from each one of the cake presented at the table. Get as many as you can! Once the horn sounds to stop, each individual can sit, enjoy their cake and a short performance by Ballet Legato!
WHAT’S PROVIDED:
Ballet Legato will provide forks, a large cake box and water and coffee for your enjoyment and to take home.
