Jacob Pastorius Tribute with Pat Casey and Ricky SebastianJohn Jaco Pastorius III was an American bassist, composer and producer well-respected in the jazz world, particularly during the fusion movement of the 1970s and 1980s. He recorded as both a solo artist and as a member of the renowned band Weather Report (1976 – 1981). He also collaborated with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny and Joni Mitchell. Though he passed away at the young age of 35, Jaco is still widely regarded today as one of the most impactful electric bassists of all time. More than just a technical master of his instrument, his compositions are known for propelling elements of funk, lyrical solos,and innovative harmonics. Jacos approach to the bass and the music he wrote continues to be a wellspring of inspiration for a great many musicians and listeners. Hes left an indelible mark on the continuum of musicianship, including with some of our very own New Orleans musicians; Louisiana native drummer Ricky Sebastian played drums with Jaco for several years, and New Orleans based bassist Pat Casey has been so influenced by Jacos craft that he began hosting annual tribute concerts to the late bass master in 2016, nearly 30 years after his death.Shows at 7:30pm & 9:30pm Doors at 7:00pm & 9:00pm Restuarant is Open 5pm – 10pm for dinner before or after your showtime:Advance Ticket Holders can now automatically make dinner table reservations for the Dining Room online via OpenTable.com !Advance Ticket-Holders can also make table reservations for dinner in the restaurant next door by Emailing reservations@snugjazz.com after your tickets have been purchased online for the Music Room. We do offer cheese and charcuterie tray options. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime. Due to our intimate venues limited seating capacity, advance tickets are strongly suggested in order to guarantee seats for this acclaimed show!

This event is 13 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 13 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund. All concert ticket sales are final and non-refundable. All patrons must have valid government-issued Photo ID available upon entry. Violation of this policy while inside the venue may result in removal from the club without ticket refunds. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside the building, and there are NO PETS ALLOWED at anytime. *Legitimate Service Dogs must be wearing full credentials at all times upon entry, and owner must have licensing papers available upon staff request for service dogs.
