Brandon “Taz” Niederauer is a once-in-a-generation guitar phenomenon — a player whose ferocity, feel, and instinct have earned him stages, collaborators, and praise that most musicians only dream of. Nicknamed “Taz” for the whirlwind intensity of his playing, he’s already performed at Coachella, New Orleans Jazz Fest, The Met Gala, and even opened MetLife Stadium for The Rolling Stones. He currently tours as lead guitarist for multi-Grammy winner Jon Batiste.

A graduate of Yale University with a degree in Economics, Taz’s story reads like pure rock mythology. Inspired at eight years old by School of Rock, he picked up a guitar and never put it down. By twelve, he was starring as “Zack Mooneyham” in the Tony-nominated Broadway production of School of Rock the Musical.

Based in NYC, Taz has shared the stage with an astonishing roster of legends: Gregg Allman, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Buddy Guy, Stevie Nicks, Slash, Lady Gaga, Robert Randolph, Dr. John, George Porter Jr., Dumpstaphunk, Umphrey’s McGee, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and so many more.

He has performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Colbert, Good Morning America, and The View, appeared in Jesus Christ Superstar Live and Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It, and continues to tour worldwide.
