Join us for the Opening Reception of Susan Lefler‘s first Artcelerate show, “Quiet Structures”.
This show is sponsored by Shop Made Foundation and the ARTCELERATE program. The artist will be in residency with Shop Made in DC through January & February.

ABOUT THE SHOW:
Quiet Structures is a series of nine linoleum block prints by Susan Lefler exploring the intricate veining and deceptively complex structures of common leaves. While inspired by botanical subjects in shape, the leaves deviate from their natural forms as Susan interprets imagined textures within each form.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Susan Lefler is an Artist and Printmaker based in Alexandria, Virginia. She’s drawn to color, pattern and capturing small details of the botanical world.
Susan has been an artist for as long as she can remember, but it wasn’t until 2021, when she rediscovered printmaking, that her path toward becoming a full-time artist truly began. What started as a part-time curiosity in evening art classes quickly bloomed into a full-time passion.
The tactile rhythm of carving, the thrill of revealing inking a new block and the quiet, meditative process throughout keeps her enthralled with the printmaking art form.
She delights in making both functional art, think bookmarks, stationery, and stickers, as well as prints designed to be framed and displayed.
