How to Grow Mushrooms Indoors at Garden Dreams Urban Farm & Nursery – Pittsburgh, PA

Learn how to grow and harvest your very own gourmet mushrooms indoors! Mushrooms are quick and easy to grow inside any time of year, providing fresh and delicious mushrooms in as little as a month. In this hands-on workshop we will go over the equipment and techniques needed for successfully setting up a simple growing chamber for cultivating mushrooms on straw or other common garden materials. Participants will go home with their own mini oyster grow kit.

Parking: There is limited on street parking. Can park at park’n’ride lot at Hamnett Station.

Accessibility: Site entrance accessible by sidewalk, then gravel driveway to greenhouse. Greenhouse has limited paved concrete access. While gardens are uneven grass surfaces
