STAY HUMAN YOU ANIMAL!, a one-person show starring Fred Cavair Robinson, featuring 10 short plays with true stories, videos, and original songs about growing up Black, Queer, and Weird in the “wild.” SHYA! doesn’t take place behind a 4th wall. The audience is included in the narrative flow in a way that is refreshingly authentic and vulnerable. It tells the story of a transition from boyhood to “masculine sissy” dictated by the fate of an audience’s random pull from a bowl. After an exciting preview at Theo Ubique’s WinterFest 2025 and the support of DCASE 2025 grant, SHYA! is excited to announce 3 new shows at BugHouse Theater.
