Join Us for the 11th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday of Service!

Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy at Sweet Potato Comfort Pie’s 11th Annual Holiday of Service on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:30 PM at The Club at Golden Valley.

Doors open at 1:45 PM.

This year’s theme, “Voices of Wisdom, Pathways to Peace,” calls us to come together across generations to listen, reflect, and celebrate as we continue to uphold Dr. King’s vision. Together, we will recognize educators, elders, and community members who guide us toward peace and justice.

Featuring:

97 Sweet Potato Pies — representing the age Dr. King would have been in 2026 — gifted to individuals and organizations who inspire peace and service.

Soulful musical performances to uplift and inspire the community.

Rhythms and artistry from local cultural performers that connect us in spirit and energy.

️ Audience-engaged conversations on freedom, wisdom, and building pathways of peace, facilitated by community volunteers.

✨ Recognition of leaders through special awards and presentations.

And most importantly — YOU!

This isn’t just an event — it’s a chance to share your voice, connect with others, and honor Dr. King’s enduring legacy. Together, we will uplift wisdom and walk pathways toward peace.
