Originally from Oakland, CA – Melba Miller returned to her native California after many years on the East Coast and has since performed in a wide array of venues here including Vicky’s of Santa Fe, Melvyn’s, Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival, Revolution Theater Company, and PS Underground where she recently presented,“Something Cool – Beyond the Great American Songbook” to a full house and high praise.

Known for her swinging style and her smooth horn-like phrasings, Melba’s musical influences are broad. Her sound is the sound of the cool 50’s – reminiscent of Ella and Carmen … but not imitated.
