The Pen and The Glass – Spoken Word Open Mic at Carboy Winery at Mt. Garfield Estate – Palisade, CO

Let your creativity shine, and take time to appreciate the work of others – join us for The Pen and the Glass Spoken Word Open Mic. An event hosted in collaboration with the Western Colorado Writers’ Forum, this is a celebration of writers of all styles and experience levels!

We have has writers as young as 10 and as old as 90 come out to read there work – this is a safe space to share! So if you have work that is in-process or unpolished, if you have never read your work in public before, or if you are an experienced writer and reader – this is a place for you! If you aren’t a writer yourself but you want to see people stand up and read thier work, come join us for a fun night of literary exposure. We welcome poetry, prose, slam, or any type of spoken word – if you wrote it, you can read it!

No purchase is required to attend, but of course you are welcome to enjoy wine and charcuterie while you’re here! We arrive around 4:15 for sign ups, and reading begin at 4:30. When there are a lot of writers reading their work, we set time limits so that everyone gets a chance to share.
